Science Fiction Podcast StarShipSofa Changes Name; Requests Submissions of Short Science Fiction Stories
StarshipSofa Podcast has changed its name to StarShipSofa: Science Fiction Audio Magazine. Host/Producer Tony Smith says the name change signifies a format direction for the audio programme, specifically the Wednesday night "Aural Delights".
StarshipSofa Podcast has changed its name to StarShipSofa: Science Fiction Audio Magazine. Host/Producer Tony Smith says the name change signifies a format direction for the audio programme, specifically the Wednesday night "Aural Delights".
The format for these shows will be: introduction; featured short story; poetry; science facts; flash fiction; and feedback from previous shows. Another change in consideration is possibly having a monthly editorial in the weekend show. "[We are] following in the great traditions of Analog, Asimov and F&SF", said Smith. The "Aural Delights" program features a science fiction story from recognized authors read by professional and semi-pro narrators. Tony also announced he is seeking submissions for flash fiction, short 600 word stories within the science fiction "blur". Authors may submit their works to starshipsofa@gmail.com. StarShipSofa has requested that an author limit their submissions to one work for consideration at a time, to give others an opportunity to have their stories promoted also.
