I’m running far behind so just got to this but really enjoyed it, especially the interview with Connie Willis and the story by Cage Baker. The story was especially well narrated as well.

My idea: Tony has a starshipsofa channel, 24/7!

It could start with an hour a day then rerun that like cable does.

Only part way through listening while painting over the ugly wallpaper in our stairwell, but amazing! The time flew. The Connie Willis interview was incredibly engaging, she had so many insights on such a huge range of topics, I’m going to have to go back and listen again. I can’t think of a better antidote to a recent appearance of Siri Hustvedt on Book Club on Radio 4, she must have mentioned several times how many PhD’s she and her relatives had earned and in what topics, it was unbearable.

As a relatively new fan I am listening to new episodes and working my way through old episodes from the beginning. Just getting over Tony’s mishap at work and discovering Kage Baker via The Likely Lad, and now I hear this sad news. Be careful out there people.

    Another expat here too.

Currently live in South Africa and planning on staying. Just about to start the process of applying for Permanent Residence…

Good luck with your application. I’m starting to feel like a bit of a fraud now having only moved from Britain to Belgium (via The Netherlands). But we’re raising a family here now, so it looks like I’m going to be practicing my Dutch for a fair few years yet.
