Not sure if the issue is with the podcatcher I use (gpodder) or something changing on the site.
However the latest issue (208) failed to download and on investigation of gpodder it appears intent on capturing starshipsofa.com/comments/feed instead of starshipsofa.com/feed.

The link is correct on the site so I assume its a gpodder issue, only its strange it only happened when the poll went up.

Anyone had similar issues?

I thought I had been the only person to have this problem. Yeah I’ve not heard that one either. I didn’t think to check the feed address.

I’ve tried removing and subscribing anew, specifying the correct feed. However when I go back and check the details it returns to /comments/feed.
There may be someway to manually edit this but I haven’t investigated that deeply yet.

We’ve been having some issues with the feeds, the site was hacked and spam was being inserted into the feeds.

I have secured the site and cleaned up the spam problem, but I’m still working on getting everything working again, hopefully the feeds should be working properly soon!

Thank you for the update. I’m happy to download direct from site for now.

And thank you for all the great work that we don’t see as you keep the site running.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I’ve just noticed that nothing has appeared in my Forum Recent Posts feed since 21st October.

This is the main way that I keep track of what’s going on here, so it’s a bit of a problem for me.

I’m still tinkering, but I’m glad to hear that some of the feeds are working now!

I just moved back to gPodder from RhythmBox, and am also having this problem. I deleted the subscription and subscribed again and got the following:

    Could not add some podcasts
Some podcasts could not be added to your list:
http://www.starshipsofa.com/feed/: unichr() arg not in range(0×110000) (wide Python build)

Can anyone help with this? I really miss the podcasts.

I had noticed issues with gpodder again recently but the Meta show told me to be patient :-)

The feed still does not really work. I noticed, that when you ask for http://www.starshipsofa.com/feed/ then you get very different result depending on you user-agent setting. If you open it with regular browser, you get usual feed (and content type text/xml). If you download it with e.g. gpodder, you get webpage with a lot of spam (and type text/html).

I think that what you get from server should not depend on user-agent setting (and in this case you want to get feed especially from non-browser software).

I notice that I can get new episodes through iTunes on my PC, but not directly through iTunes on my iPod Touch. :/

Oh wait – there’s the Jan 25 episode . . . I guess it took several days for iTunes on the iPod to catch up to the PC version . . . Feel free to ignore this if it’s not a problem on your end, Josh. :)

There could be some hiccups and delays, but the feeds should all be working now!
