ahs	Hi everyone! What SF cons and/or other genre-related events will you be attending soon? It would be lovely if Sofanauts found themselves at the same events and could meet in person! Josh	I’ve never been to a scifi con before, but I’m planning to go to my first one, Minicon 47, in April. I’m looking forward to it, hope I run into some other StarShipSofa listeners there! Really tempted to go to Chicon 7 this year if I have the time and funds, that’s probably the closest that Worldcon will get to Minnesota in the near future.

Fredosphere	It’s not a con, but I would like to mention I (plus my son Andrew, who is 13) will attend a Hillsdale College seminar on classic SF films, March 11-15. (Hillsdale is in south-central Michigan.) They will be showing and discussing Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Forbidden Planet, and others. I’ll be attending Sunday, plus one other day, probably Wednesday (because I really want my son to see Snatchers). This reply was modified 125 days ago by Fredosphere.

ahs	Fred, the original Snatchers is one of my top favorite films of all time! I hope your son enjoys it. I have a good friend who is on the faculty at Hillsdale, but it doesn’t look like he’s one of the speakers, unfortunately. At any rate, this looks like a terrific seminar! Wish I could go. LarrySantoro	I’ll be at WorldCon here in Chicago. I’m going to try to make the World Fantasy Convention in Toronto. I need to go to Toronto, anyway. Even though Joe and Karen Lansdale are going to be there, I probably will not make the World Horror Convention. It’s in Salt Lake City. What could they have been thinking?

gav	Satellite 3 is local(ish) to me and I was thinking of popping in to that. Not sure at the moment because of costs but we’ll see.

Fredosphere	@ahs, I’m a big fan of Snatchers too (how could I not?) as you should be able to tell from my reactions to seeing it for the first time, which I posted to my old blog here. I’m especially proud of my analysis of Dana Wynter’s dress.
