Protecting Project Pulp 78: Robert E. Howard

Main Fiction: “Shadows in the Moonlight” (Part II) by Robert E. Howard, first published in Weird Tales, April 1934.

Narrator: Nick Camm.

Far below her something moved. It was as if a black shadow detached itself from the gulf of shadows below her. It moved slowly up the sheer face of the cliff—a vague bulk, shapeless in the semi-darkness. Panic caught Olivia by the throat.

  1. So, Conan has struck again… Our imagination!!! The narration was wonderful… The barbarian´s way won the heart not only of Olivia but of the whole fandom too. By the way… My opinion is that a story of this long can be narrate in one single episode.

  2. Thanks for weighing in, Odilius – it was certainly tough to find a good spot to break this one up, which almost convinced me that we shouldn’t bother…

  3. One can’t go wrong with REH, but I would rather hear it in one go. One and a half hour should be no problem. I hate waiting for a week to hear the end.
For pulp fans here some more REH – Dig me No Grave

    Keep it up !!!
