Main Fiction: “The Dream Detective” by Lisa Tuttle 33:00

Lisa Tuttle is an American-born science fiction, fantasy, and horror author. She has published more than a dozen novels, seven short story collections, and several non-fiction titles. She has also edited several anthologies and reviewed books for various publications. She has been living in the United Kingdom since 1981.

Tuttle won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 1974, the 1989 BSFA Award for Short Fiction for “In Translation” and the 2007 International Horror Guild Award for
“Closet Dreams”.

 

In the beginning, I was not attracted to her at all. Quite the opposite.

I don’t know if it was intentional on her part, and honestly, I’m not the sort of dick who always judges women on how hot they are, but if there’s any situation in which a person’s attractiveness matters, I think everybody would agree it’s a blind date.
