Chris Barnham spent a long time working for the British government, but now just makes stuff up for himself. Chris has a novel out, with US publisher, Filles Vertes Publishing. It’s called Fifty-One, and features a time-traveling cop marooned in 1940s London, forced to choose between saving the future or the woman he loves. Interzone magazine described it as “better plotted than Connie Willis”.

Chris Barnham spent a long time working for the British government, but now just makes stuff up for himself. ‘When I Close My Eyes’ first appeared in Interzone in July 2017. Chris’s forthcoming novel, Fifty-One features a time-traveling cop who is marooned in 1940s London. The story was inspired by a real event, a German V1 rocket that fell on a busy shopping street in south London in July 1944, killing fifty-one people.
