Amazing episode Tony, it was a rapture of two hours. Especially by the jouney Morgan Saletta took us.
Malak by Peter Watts was one of the best stories I’ve ever heard, and one of the best narrations. Thought evoking, chilling, very realistic-feeling, this one should be up for prizes.
Thanks for bringing it to us!
Thanks for the kind words – that means a lot – thank you.
I must say that the history of zeppelins in this episode was very interesting-this shocked me because I normally wouldn’t investigate this sort of thing. I suspect this section is a real treat for your Steampunk listeners.
I also enjoyed the discussion of using KickStarter to fund ‘Space Command.’ There are plenty of rabid Science Fiction fans out there, but perhaps not enough to appeal to the big networks and studios, so I think this is an excellent solution. It’s also exciting that artists get to keep their full creative license with these sorts of productions. Best of luck to Marc Zicaree and his team-astounding how well they’ve done-can’t wait to see the finished product.
Thanks for putting together yet another great episode Tony!
Please Prof. Campanella et cetera, not ekk cetera
This is for J.J. Campanella.
JJ, you mention that if you tried to build a fusion reactor, the US Government would come shut you down (I don’t remember your exact phrasing.)
This is not true. Check You Tube and do a search for fusion reactors. People build them at home. They get less energy out then they put in, but they are fusion reactors.
Here’s a TED talk about one:
